From Field-Tested Continuity To An Institutional Readiness Model

AHDÜM Education Resilience Metrics develops evidence-governed institutional pathways for University Continuity Readiness. CRUI is its first operational pathway, translating field-tested continuity work into a practical institutional process for evidence review, improvement planning, and leadership decision support. Where validated findings justify action, institutions may separately scope optional continuity implementation support.

Origin

AHDÜM emerged from teaching and learning continuity work sustained since 2023 under severe disruption and weak-connectivity conditions. That experience sharpened an understanding of the practical tools, working methods, and institutional needs that arise when normal systems are seriously disrupted.

Purpose

To help higher-education institutions strengthen learning continuity, governance readiness, evidence systems, and improvement planning.

Direction

A readiness-first, evidence-led, institution-centred approach. Governance boundaries are built into its design and delivery.

The translation from field experience to institutional readiness guides CRUI’s design and, where validated findings justify action, can create the basis for separately scoped continuity implementation support.

Hussein AlAhmad

Founder and Methodology Architect, AHDÜM

Developer of CRUI

Associate Professor of Strategic Communication | Mediatization, Education and Institutional Resilience Scholar
His work sits at the intersection of mediatized education, crisis-responsive higher education, and institutional resilience. His research examines how media logics, institutional disruption, and conditions of crisis reshape learning, knowledge integrity, and university readiness, drawing on work across Palestine and other conflict-affected contexts. His academic formation bridges communication and education, with advanced specialization in strategic, political, and educational communication, doctoral work in mediatization, and a broader grounding in social science and Middle East studies.

His research develops education resilience as a practical institutional capacity: sustaining learning, protecting knowledge integrity, strengthening governance readiness, and supporting human-capital continuity under conditions of crisis, displacement, and infrastructural disruption.

Through AHDÜM and its first operational pathway, CRUI, AlAhmad translates this body of work into a structured institutional readiness review, leadership-facing reporting, and improvement planning for universities.
